The Housing Choice Voucher (Low-Rent Property Based)
Waiting List Opening 

Effective Wednesday, September 16, 2026, Village Communities of Texarkana, Texas (VCTT) will open its waiting lists for the following housing opportunities: 

1-Bedroom Apartments
Elderly/Disabled
Applicants must meet one of the following qualifications:

• Be 62 years of age or older, OR
• Be 18 years of age or older and have a diagnosed disability.

3-Bedroom Apartments
Families
Applicants must meet one of the following qualifications:

• Be 18 years of age or older, and
• Have a total household size of 4 - 6 people, including adult family members.

Income Limits

The following maximum annual household income limits apply based on the number of people in the family:

• 1 person - $29,300
• 2 persons - $33,500
• 4 persons - $41,850
• 5 persons - $45,200
• 6 persons - $48,550

The waiting lists will remain open until further notice.
